I have been lactose intolerant for about 10 years now. It started out slow not being able to eat ice cream, milk, and cream cheese. But in the last two years I can't even eat hard cheeses, butter, or yogurt. It doesn't sound like it would make life miserable, until you realize that everything in the American diet is either made with dairy or tastes best with dairy on it. Eating out became a minefield even with salad. My favorite dressings like the Olive Gardens Italian Dressing has Parmesan cheese in it. Dairy products are hidden in almost everything except most Asian food. But a girl can't survive on fried rice and orange chicken (American Asian food). So I have made it my mission to find delicious dairy free foods for myself and any one with similar dietary needs, weather your Vegan, lactose intolerance, you have I.B.S. or even Crohn's. I hope I can help you because I know how hard it is to find both information and recipes when you can't eat dairy products. And lets face it most Americans could stand to cut back a little on their dairy consumption even if they don't have dietary problems.
